Global Missions Fellowship Campaign

A beautiful view taken from atop a mountain near Stari Sambir ("old Sambir"), Ukraine. Sambir lies afar in the distance.

Pictured from left to right: Pastor Volodya's daughter (she served as my translator and professional haggler in the L'viv market), Diane Labarr, Robyn May, Magdalena Miranda, and John Blank. I enjoyed my teammates this year.
Another tasty supper with my host family--Andriy and Ira. On this night, he prepared a traditional Ukrainian dish called Deruny (pronounced deh-roo-nay).
Pictured from Andriy in a clockwise motion: Andriy, Sveta, Ira, Oksana, & Katya. We celebrated Katya's fifteenth birthday.
See above.
According to Oksana, this organ which is located in the Sambir Music Hall produces the best sound of any organ in Ukraine. Its 2500 pipes and the acoustics of the building provide a six-second sound.

First day of our gospel ministry work in Sambir (8/6/01). Pictured from left to right: Tom Franklin, Vadim Provozyuk, Curry Moore, Volodya Hrishko (pastor), and Erin Ferry.
Oksana and I again visited with Sveta and her family. On this night, we enjoyed some tea and cookies. Pictured from left to right: Sveta, Katya, one of Alex's friends, Oksana, Alex, and me.
A dear Russian family to whom I became so attached. From left to right: Tanya, Youluh, Sasha, and me. Notice the food that Tanya quickly prepared for me and my team. After considerable watering and sowing, I am confident that “God will give the increase.”
Through this Russian family, God taught me a priceless lesson this year. Evangelism often involves building a real relationship with people as well as proclaiming His word. Here we are at the base of the Carpathian Mountains. (8/8/01)
